New York, NY (CNS) - CBS has reportedly ordered eight episodes of "Jingles," a reality competition show from Mark Burnett in which contestants will compete for a large cash reward and a job in a major ad agency on the back of their self-composed melodies centered on real or assumed products and people.

According to trade magazine Variety, contestants will be given jingle-writing assignments on weekly basis followed by a selection of winners by a studio audience.

"This show is sort of like America's Got Talent but with a purpose," Burnett told the Variety.com, adding that the competing teams will potentially benefit from royalties even if they are voted off early in the show.

"If someone comes up with the next great Oscar Mayer jingle, it could be on TV for the next 20 years, even if they're voted off in week three," he explained.

The show is expected to go on air next summer.
