Iowa Voters Split Between Giuliani, Romney; Clinton Holds Solid Lead

Washington, D.C. (AHN) - A new poll taken among primary voters in Iowa shows Sen. Hillary Clinton (D-NY) and former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney are ahead within their respective parties.
In the latest American Research Group's survey of likely caucus goers, Clinton has expanded her base to 30 percent of voters, while Romney is in a tight race with former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, beating him by just one percent; well within the margin of error.
Among Democrats, Clinton leads Sen. Barack Obama (D-IL), who received 24 percent of the vote, followed by former North Carolina Sen. John Edwards with 19 percent; 13 percent of Iowa Democrats remain undecided.
Within the GOP, Romney leads Giuliani 22 percent to 21, while the pair are trailed by former Tennessee Sen. and 'Law and Order' actor Fred Thompson's 16 percent; 13 percent of Iowa Republicans remain undecided.
