London, England (CNS) - Kylie Minogue will celebrate her musical comeback in an hour-long television special on British ITV1 due to air later this year.

The 39-year-old music veteran is preparing to release her tenth studio album, X, and has said that the television special promises to be a mix of old classics as well as new songs off the album.

Producers for the music special promise it to be a "visual experience," which will be different than the last ITV1 music special Minogue did in 2001 that featured a more concert style performance.

Although Minogue has worked with famous names like Mylo and the Scissor Sisters, fans should not expect to hear those collaborations during the ITV1 special.

"My creative team and I are preparing a fabulous evening with a mixture of old songs, new songs and lots of surprises thrown into the mix as well," said Minogue.

Minogue was forced to take a break from the music business after being diagnosed with breast cancer in May 2005, but after having surgery in Australia she finished up chemotherapy in December and made it back onstage in late 2006.

Minogue's new single "2 Hearts" was recently released on British airwaves and will be due in record stores on November 12.
