Hollywood, CA (CNS) - Singer and actress Janet Jackson, who has battled with her own weight in recent years, is now set to write a book on her own personal struggles regarding weight loss.

The star says she wanted to write the book because "so many people have asked me about it and how did I do it," according to the Associated Press.

"Everybody has a story to tell so this is my little story about that portion of my life," she added.

Meanwhile, Jackson's latest movie, "Why Did I Get Married," in which she stars alongside Tyler Perry, ranked number one at the box office this weekend, making an estimated $26 million in ten days.
