October 16, 2007 2:51 p.m. EST Ed Sutherland - AHN Editor Cupertino, CA (AHN) - Apple has lowered the price of music sold on iTunes without digital rights protection to $0.99, the same as other digital tracks offered at the online store. The DRM-free tunes had sold for $1.29. Although Apple isn't commenting on the price change, the reduction appears to match Amazon.com's recently-opened music store which sells DRM-free tunes for $0.89 to $0.99 per song.
