Annabella Bulacan - AHN News Writer Yangon, Myanmar (AHN) - With everything in order and under control, Myanmar authorities on Saturday announced the lifting of curfew order imposed on the capital Yangon. This announcement came following the normal restoration of peaceful and calm situation in the city. This was in contrast to the overall situation two months, where protesters including monks urging equality trooped the streets. The implementation of curfew hours started in Sept. 25 amid heightened crackdown on rallyists. It was cut shorter for two times, from 8 hours down to 6 hours, then to four hours. The curfew order supposed to be lifted by Nov. 23, marking the 60-day expiry date period.
