Washington, D.C. (AHN) - The U.S. space agency NASA has named the crew for the space shuttle STS-119 targeted for launch in November 2008 to the International Space Station.

U.S. Air Force Col. Lee Archambault will command the space shuttle Discovery.

Archambault will be accompanied by Navy Cmdr. Dominic Antonelli as pilot; and astronauts Joseph Acaba, Richard Arnold II, John Phillips and Steven Swanson as mission specialists.

Discovery will deliver the S6 truss segment to complete the 361-foot-long backbone of the space station, UPI News reported. The mission will also transport the final pair of solar array wings of the station, it added.

The mission could last between 11 to 14 days, said reports.

In 2002, members of the STS-119 crew had already been announced. However changes in the flight manifest required new crew assignments.
