New York, NY (AHN) - Retailer Target Corp. stopped selling the violent video game "Manhunt 2" at its stores nationwide on Wednesday. Rockstar Games, which released the video game on Halloween, had some of Manhunt 2's gruesome scenes blurred out to suit the entertainment ratings board, but hackers were able to un-blur it prompting Target to pull them out of its store shelves.

According to the AP, the Minneapolis-based retail store operator pulled out the games because it wants its customers to feel comfortable with what they buy from Target. The store also does not stock video games rated for adult audience, such as Manhunt 2.

Comments from Rockstar Games were not available.

The Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB), which rates video games with different levels based on the kind of audience that can play it, rated the original Manhunt 2 "adults only." Rockstar Games blurred out the nasty images in the games to get the more favorable "mature" rating and get the go-signal to sell it on Halloween.

After 24 hours, hackers reversed the blurred scenes.
