Windsor Genova - AHN News Writer Tokyo, Japan (AHN) - Japanese camera maker Olympus Corp. will build a $44-million digital camera factory in Vietnam next year. A spokesman of the company said the location of the plant and its production volume have yet to be finalized. The company also has yet to decided if the proposed plant will produce finished or unfinished products. The Vietnam plant will augment the two other factories in China, and is part of the company's goal of expanding production capacity. Japan Today said the company is projecting a 22.9 percent increase in digital camera shipments for this year from last year to 10.8 million units.
