Los Angeles, CA (CNS) - The WGA strike is gaining momentum and support from various Hollywood sources.

CBS News is the latest group ready to join the picket line. According to reports, staff are preparing to take a vote to decide whether they will support the television writers.
Hollywood television studios have almost shut down production because of the strike, with many top rating shows being forced to go into hiatus.
Shows such as "The Tonight Show With Jay Leno" are facing further employee cut backs during the strike because of expensive production costs and no productivity.
The CBS News strike would happen at a busy news time with constant coverage on Pakistan, the War on Terror and the presidential campaign.
