Film Critic Leonard Maltin To Receive Journalism Award

Los Angeles, CA (CNS) - Acclaimed film critic Leonard Maltin will receive the 2007 Journalism Award from the Caucus of Television Producers, Writers and Directors at its annual dinner on Dec 7 at the Beverly Hills Hotel. Maltin currently serves as the movie reviewer on the syndicated television series "Entertainment Tonight." He also hosts a television show entitled "Secret's Out" on the ReelzChannel movie network.
Having studied journalism at New York University Maltin has published articles in a variety of film journals, national newspapers, and magazines, including Variety, TV Guide and Good Times.
He is best known for "Leonard Maltin's Movie and Video Guide," a book-format collection of movie reviews that first appeared in September 1969.
Maltin joins a list of venerable previous recipients, including Larry King and Army Archerd, Cynthia Littleton and Brian Lowry.
