Los Angeles, CA (CNS) - Previous "The Bachelorette" Jen Schefft supports the decision of the 11th season "The Bachelor" Brad Womack for choosing neither of the finalists. Womack was faced with the decision of choosing between Jenni Croft and DeAnna Pappas but in the end, chose to remain unattached.
Schefft, who also didn't choose between the two finalists on her stint as "The Bachelorette," supports the decision by releasing to the Huffington Post, "It's entirely possible to meet 25 beautiful women (or 25 handsome men) and not fall in love with any of them . . . in a matter of six weeks . . . in isolation . . . with cameras all around. It doesn't mean the person is too picky ... nor does it mean they are gay."
She claims that there is also a double standard to the expectations of people when it comes to break-ups. She explains, "The women ... have been portrayed as 'needy' or 'pathetic.' The public worries they'll be single forever-as if that's worse than being stuck in an unhappy marriage. For some reason, it's more acceptable for a man to turn down a woman than it is for a woman to reject a man."
