London, U.K. (AHN) - An English toy company has manufactured dolls that resemble teddy bears and other plush toys, as road kill.

The dolls feature the complete gory image, including eyes popped out, and guts spilled.

Compost Communications, the creators of the gruesome toys, claim that the toys would attract the attention of people with the right sense of humor. They advised that the toys would not be advisable for individuals easily upset.

Adam Arber, the original creator of the toys, said that the idea came from his mother-in-law's dog.

"[It] is quite ugly and I thought it would make a great toy," Metro quoted the 33-year old creator of the toy carnage. "A friend of mine had taken some pictures of road kill and the two things gelled into one idea."

He added that when he asked permission from his mother-in-law and his wife, "they just laughed."

The first toy launched is a road kill teddy bear named Twitch. The doll comes with its own transparent body bag "to keep the maggots out", an identity bag is attached to its toe, giving details of its death.

Blood and guts are also included with the toy, inside a zippered pocket.

Future dolls to be produced include Grind the Rabbit, Splodge the hedgehog and Pop the weasel. Causes of death could include being run over by kebab vans and golf carts.

The toys are priced at ?25 ($50), and set to go on sale this weekend at London's Play Lounge.

Britons are expected to spend 2 to 3 percent more on Christmas presents this year, compared to last year. This surge is related to the low unemployment rate, according to Mintel, a market research company.
