Britney Tops Yahoo! Search Rankings For 2007

Los Angeles, CA (CNS) - Britney Spears is back on top again - at least on Yahoo searches.

The recently turned 26-year-old has been making news ever since and 2007 is no different. She has been the most popular searched term on the Internet search engine Yahoo! for the sixth time in seven years.

"People do not know what to expect from her anymore and the searches would spike every time she was back in the news," Yahoo's senior editor Vera Chan says. "From when she shaved her head and rumors emerged from the rehab mill that she was calling herself the anti-Christ and shaved 6766 on her scalp, there was constant tracking of this almost modern-day Greek tragedy happening in front of us."

Also making the list is Paris Hilton who had been number one in 2004. She ranks third this year.

"The tolerance for her party behavior was fading but her jail sentence popped her back up to that level of attention."

The others who have made it to the ten most popular Yahoo! searches for 2007 are the following; Britney Spears; WWE; Paris Hilton; Naruto; Beyonce; Lindsay Lohan; RuneScape; Fantasy Football; Fergie and Jessica Alba.
