Casper, WY (AHN) - Presidential candidate Mitt Romney captured the early lead in Wyoming's Republican caucuses on Saturday.

The caucuses come two days after Iowa's caucuses and three days before New Hampshire's primaries. Candidates haven't campaigned much in the sparsely populated western state.

State GOP officials have said they don't expect the results in Wyoming to have much impact on which candidate gets the nomination.

Caucus results are expected throughout the day. In southeastern Wyoming Romney has taken the first two delegates from Laramie and Albany counties. Political observers expect Romney to sweep the delegates in western Wyoming.
