Mother, 4 Children Killed Discovered Dead In Fire, Stabbing

Mason, OH (AHN) - A mother and four children were killed at their home in Mason, OH. Authorities say the woman was stabbed; they have not released details on how the children died.

The woman's husband, Michael Veilette, 34, was also stabbed and was found on the front lawn of the home. He was taken to the hospital where he underwent surgery. He is now listed in critical but stable condition at University Hospital in Cincinnati.

One of the children was found dead inside the burning home. The other three children died later at the hospital. They ranged in age from 3 to 8. Police say the children did not suffer stab wounds. They wouldn't speculate on how the adults received knife wounds, but did say they were not looking for other suspects.
