January 14, 2008 7:56 a.m. EST Vittorio Hernandez - AHN News Writer Buenos Aires, Argentina (AHN) - The strike of baggage handlers and ticket counter staff in Argentina's Ezeiza International Airport entered its fourth day with international and domestic flights canceled. Operations in Argentina's main gateway was paralyzed, prompting stranded domestic and international passengers to storm the offices of Aerolineas Argentinas carrier on the second floor to push the striking staff to find a solution to the program. Thousands of angry air travelers had been stranded by the strike that started Thursday. The strike was allegedly sparked by a passenger abuse of an airline staff. Mad passengers broke glasses of the Argentinean air carrier's office, destroyed ticket counters and threw objects at flight personnel. "There's no one from the company, no one is showing their face or telling us when we're going to fly. We're stranded with children and the elderly," a female passenger with a canceled flight to Venezuela told BBC. Jorge Henriquez, spokesman of the ground crew union, said the airline company is not making any announcements about the resumption of their operations until the seven airline unions ink a social peace accord.
