18 Year Old Student Hurt In Charlotte High School Shoot-out

Charlotte, NC (AHN) - An 18-year old student was hurt when a gunman sprayed the Crossroads Charter High School in north Charlotte with bullets. The incident happened Wednesday at around 10 a.m. at the parking lot while the students were dismissed after exams.

One person was arrested in the drive-by shooting, according to the school principal. Charlotte police are still hunting for two more suspects who fled immediately the school grounds aboard a blue Ford Explorer after the shooting incident.
The students were herded back into their classrooms to ensure their safety. Crossroads Charter has 225 students distributed from grades 9 through 12. It is located on N. Tryon Street.
