London, U.K. (AHN) - The police have released CCTV footage of a British woman, who was murdered in New Zealand. Karen Aim, 26, hailed from Scotland and was in New Zealand on a working holiday.
The Woman was found murdered in a street in the tourist resort of Taupo after she walked home following a night out with friends.
She was found lying in a pool of blood but was able to tell the police her name. She died hours later in hospital.
Detective Sergeant Greg Turner said to The Guardian, "We're trying to establish if she left the bar alone or not, and a major part of our enquiry is obtaining footage from security cameras in town."
The post postmortem ruled out any sexual motive. It also failed to identify the murder weapon.
Turner told BBC News that Aim's family were devastated by the news. HE said, "It would be fair to say that they were devastated by the news," reports BBC.
The investigation is also examining any connection between Aim's death and vandalism at a nearby college. The police had discovered Aim's body when they were called in to investigate the college break-in.
Turner asked the people responsible for the vandalism to come forward and share any information they might have regarding Aim's death.
Turner told BBC News, "The longer those people are at large, the more suspicious it looks for those involved. We would ask again for those people to make contact with us"
