New York (AHN) - Minnesota's Gerald Green, traded in the offseason from the Boston Celtics in the Kevin Garnett deal, will be back to defend his dunk championship during the NBA All-Star weekend in New Orleans.
Green will be joined in the dunk field by Orlando's Dwight Howard, Toronto's Jamario Moon and Memphis' Rudy Gay.
Howard had the dunk of the competition a year ago despite not reaching the finals. He took a pass from teammate Jameer Nelson for a right-handed slam while at the same time slapping a sticker bearing his face at the top of the backboard. Nelson measured it at 12 feet, 6 inches.
This year fans can text message or vote on NBA.com to determine the winner.
