January 25, 2008 8:20 p.m. EST Paul Icamina - AHN News Writer Reno, NV (AHN) - Nearly a week after Brianna Denison disappeared from a friend's house near the University of Nevada in Reno, authorities are still clueless about her whereabouts even as search and rescue teams are scouring the foothills outside the gambling resort city. Police and volunteers expanded the search to the foothills on the fringes of Reno and north of Kings Row looking for the 19-year-old coed who vanished last Sunday. Police admit they have no leads so far in the mysterious disappearance which had been called a possible abduction. Denison is described as a white female, 5-feet tall with long dark brown hair and blue eyes, and weighing about 98 pounds. The Federal Bureau of Investigation and two investigators from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children have joined the search, First Coast News reported. Authorities are also interviewing registered sex offenders who live in the neighborhood from where she was last seen, according to Channel 4 KRNV. A 24/7 hotline (775) 745-3521) was set up by the Reno Police Department while a Secret Witness line (775) 322-4900) has been opened for information about Denison's disappearance.
