Round Rock, TX (AHN) - Dell said it will halt online sales of PCs using microprocessors from Advanced Micro Devices. Although the PC-maker gave no reason for the move, it was seen as a blow to AMD after Dell in 2006 began offering the Intel rival.

Despite the loss of consumer online Dell sales, AMD will continue to be offered for business machines.

Dell has been aggressively moved into retail sales, including offering PCs at Wal-Mart, Best Buy and other locations in the U.S. and worldwide.
