Concord, MA (AHN) - Polaroid, the company that forever was connected to instant photos, Friday said it would stop making film in the U.S. Like Kodak, Polaroid will concentrate on digital photography.

Polaroid's two U.S. plants in Massachusetts employ 150. The company, which went banckrupt in 2001, also has plants in Mexico and the Netherlands.

Although a Polaroid spokeswoman told the Wall Street Journal nostalgic customers have begun collecting the film, third-party film could be produced.
