Speedo Unveils Evolutionary Swimsuits For Beijing Olympics

Sydney, Australia (AHN) Top manufacturer Speedo presented on Tuesday a new gear that may be the key to winning in the Beijing Summer Olympics in August. The new evolutionary swim wear Speedo LZR Racer suit have more seamless, lightweight features compared to previous designs.

The Australian swimming team led by world champions Grant Hackett and Leisel Jones showcased the new Speedo gear during a press conference.

Hackett said in a news conference: "It is the biggest evolution in the sport in terms of swim wear."

He noted that the manufacturer have taken the recommendation from athletes and thus the new swim wear could be a development for competing swimming team in the forthcoming Olympics.

Manufacturer Speedo has even reportedly worked with the Australian Institute of Sport, the New Zealand's University of Otago, and the US space agency NASA for the development of the swimsuits.

The world swimming governing board FINA has approved of the swim suit and would be made available in time for the international competition in China.
