Jan Westmark - Celebrity News Service Los Angeles, CA (CNS) - He was a fan favorite on "American Idol" even though he didn't win. Fans of Chris Sligh will be happy to know that the singer, who finished in tenth place on season six, has just signed a record deal. Sligh, the curly haired, glasses-wearing crooner, has signed a record deal with the Atlanta-based independent label Brash Music. His first album, "Running Back To You," will be released May 6. The first single from the album will be released later this week and is entitled "Empty Me." EW.com recently named Sligh's Birmingham, Alabama, audition as one of the best ever on the show. Sligh will join EW.com as a guest commentator for their "American Idol" coverage this season.
