Friends Concerned Madonna Will End Marriage To Guy Ritchie In 18 Months

London, England (CNS) - Madonna and Guy Ritchie's marriage has been given an 18-month time run. The pop superstar and her director husband are said to be splitting in 18 months.

Friends of the couple are concerned that the two will split, but will hold off the announcement until 18 months have passed.

A source says, "Madonna and Guy are over. It's all very amicable. They've just fallen out of love with each other. They just think it's for the best as after some great years together they've been going their separate ways."

It has been said that the two will put off the split but have decided to live separately for now. Madonna will relocate to New York with the children, Lourdes, 11, Rocco, 7, and adoptive son David, 2. Guy will remain in London.

Guy will also get as much access as he wants because their split not a acrimonious. They are said to be parting on the best of terms.

The rumors that their marriage was in trouble were fueled when the 39-year-old director failed to appear at Madonna's induction into the Rock 'n Roll Hall of Fame last week.

The source says, "Madonna has been recording her new album Hard Candy and Guy has been trying to focus on putting a decent film out, so they are heading down different paths."

"Guy has failed to show up at events, which are important to Madge. He just hasn't taken as much interest as he has previously in what she's doing."

Madonna and Guy married on December 22, 2000 in Scotland.
