Fort Worth, TX (AHN)- A 21-year old woman has filed a $200,000 law suit against American Airlines for failing to protect her after a male passenger reportedly masturbated beside her on a recent flight.

The woman, whose identity was withheld, alleges airline employees did not act appropriately after the man sat next to her and began masturbating during a flight in March 2007.

She awoke on the flight to Los Angeles to find "a substantial amount of an extremely sticky substance in her hair" and a man next to her masturbating, according to the lawsuit.

A passenger helped the woman to calm down. The man was arrested when the plane landed.

The woman said airline crew already saw the man move next to her but didn't move him back to his assigned seat.

An airline spokesman, on the other hand, claimed that crew members took appropriated action.
