Ed Sutherland - AHN Editor Los Angeles, CA (AHN) - The first update of Microsoft's latest version of Windows, Vista, is available for download, online retail giant Amazon.com said. The company is also advertising boxed versions, available Wednesday. Although Microsoft wouldn't comment on the Amazon ads, the software maker has maintained it would release the update sometime in March. The upgrade includes security and performance enhancements. The upgrades will also be sent in April to Windows Vista users that have enabled Automatic Update. Several anti-virus applications will be among those disabled by the upgrade for what Microsoft terms "reliability reasons." Zone Alarm Security Suite from Check Point Technologies, BitDefender Antivirus and Internet Security, version 10 and two versions of Jiangmin KV Antivirus will be affected by the upgrade.
