New York, NY (CNS) - Jennifer Lopez and her twin babies, Max and Emme, will appear on the cover of People Magazine which hits stands Friday. The babies, who were born on February 22 in Long Island, get a 12-page spread in the magazine which of course also features their famous parents Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony.

People Magazine reporter Peter Castro writes about the new bundles of joy in the article which also features lots of new photos. Castro said Jennifer talked candidly to him about many things, including her weight gain.

Castro said the actress and singer gained 45 to 50 pounds because she knew she was having twins and wanted the babies to be born big. She accomplished that when Emme was born weighing 5 lbs.7 oz and brother Max weighed in at 6 lbs.

The happy new mother told Castro that she has lost some weight but will take her time getting the rest off.

Castro said Jennifer also told him that she had tried to get pregnant for so long that when a pregnancy test finally did come out positive she sent her assistant out to buy two more because Jennifer couldn't believe it. She took all three tests, all with positive results, before she and husband Marc broke down crying with joy.

Castro said his interview takes place at their Long Island mansion, which was complete with butler, two nurses and assistants. Despite that, he said Jennifer and Marc are very hands-on with the babies, feeding them and caring for them just like any new parents would.

In the article Jennifer also talks about this being the most magical time of her life and that as a woman it was the best thing that could have happened to her.

Take a look into Jennifer and her new baby's lives on Friday when they appear in the world exclusive edition of People Magazine.
