March 24, 2008 8:05 p.m. EST Kris Alingod - AHN News Writer Washington, D.C. (AHN) - Just as the vitriolic mood on the Democratic presidential campaign trail continued, so did the standoff between Sens. Hillary Clinton (D-NY) and Barack Obama (D-IL) in Gallup's daily survey. The pollster said on Monday that Obama had 47 percent support nationwide while the former First Lady was statistically even with 46 percent. One percent of voters surveyed said they support other candidates, another one percent chose former Alaska Sen. Mike Gravel, and 5 percent had no opinion. Gallup's daily tracking is a survey of 1,000 adults nationwide. The results of Monday's poll are based on interviews conducted from March 20-22 of 1,264 Democratic and Democratic-leaning voters. The survey's maximum margin of sampling error is 3 percentage points.
