Los Angeles, CA (CNS) - Chikezie, the Idol singer with no last name, was voted off "American Idol" on Wednesday night. He spent Thursday filling America in on how he is feeling and a few other things that went on behind the scenes including the nicknames the other contestants have. Because there are still two David's on the show, Chikezie said they call little David Archuleta "Archie" and rocker David Cook "Cookie."

Chikezie said he didn't have a nickname, for the simply reason he didn't need one. He explained he dropped his last name because no one could get it right. Although his name, Chikezie Eze, looks like the first and last name should rhyme, his last name is pronounced eh-zeh.

The singer, who had auditioned for "American Idol" four times before making the cut this year, was sad to see his run end but is pleased he will get to go on the summer Idol tour.

The judges warned him his song pick on Tuesday night could get him voted off, but even after it happened Chikezie says he doesn't regret picking the song. He sang the Brenda Russell song "If Only for One Night."
