Allman Brothers Band Cancels Concerts Due To Hepatitis C Treatments

Atlanta, GA (CNS) - Gregg Allman, of the Allman Brothers Band, will be unable to play several of his upcoming concerts because he is being treated for hepatitis C. Drummer Butch Trucks says the band has had to cancel appearances in Florida next month.

The band has also had to cancel its annual run of shows at Manhattan's Beacon Theater in May.

Trucks said Allman began undergoing treatment last year for hepatitis C.

The Allman Brothers Band was founded in Florida in the late 1960s. They gained famed while living in Macon, Georgia and were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1995.
