Hollywood, CA (CNS) - Jennifer Aniston is stepping off of the big screen to behind the scenes. The actress has formed a new film company with Kristin Hahn. Hahn worked with Aniston at Plan B films; the company was formed with Brad Pitt, Aniston's ex-husband.
According to Variety, the new production company will be called Echo. The company will also reportedly have the rights to a first-look deal with Universal Pictures.
Aniston released a statement saying, "We're drawn to stories about people finding their way because they help us...[make] sense of our lives through the stories of others. That's why we chose the name Echo, to echo back an idea, a challenge, something that resonates through all of us."
The two partners already reportedly have a couple projects going including the rights to Jane Fallon's British bestseller 'Getting Rid of Matthew' and Laura Dave's 'The Divorce Party.' The company is also taking on true-life stories 'Counter-Clockwise' about a Harvard aging study and 'The Goree Girls' about a wrongly accused woman who starts an all girl band in prison.
Aniston is currently in Miami filming 'Marley & Me' with Owen Wilson.
