Detroit, MI (CNS) - Kimya Dawson is the singer-songwriter behind many of the tunes on the popular "Juno" soundtrack, and soon Dawson may be singing to a different audience. An audience made up of Big Bird, Cookie Monster and a lot of little kids. Dawson has been approached by the children's public television series "Sesame Street" to perhaps work on songs for the show.

Dawson told Billboard.com that working with "Sesame Street" would be a dream come true. She said, "I'm a kid of the '70s, and I definitely grew up with 'Sesame Street' - the old 'Sesame Street.' I'm just a huge, huge fan."

The call from the long-running kid's show came just at the right time, as Dawson recently finished work on a new children's album she hopes to release in August. The album is titled "Alphabutt."
