Los Angeles, CA (CNS) - Wednesday night is the time for "American Idol" viewers to start dialing. This time they won't be dialing to try and keep their favorite singer on, but instead to raise money for different charities during "Idol Gives Back."

The FOX show will feature star after star, all who will ask for money that will benefit six different charities including the Children's Defense Fund, the Global Fund and Brad Pitt's Make It Right.

The fund-raising extravaganza raised over $75 million last year, and the goal of the show this year is to raise over $100 million. Money has already started pouring in, including the donations of their "Idol" paychecks for the day from Simon Cowell and Ryan Seacrest.

"Idol Gives Back" will air on FOX and viewers can expect to see Brad Pitt, Reese Witherspoon and Robin Williams among those asking for money.
