April 11, 2008 3:30 p.m. EST Jan Westmark - Celebrity News Service Los Angeles, CA (CNS) - "American Idol" stars, and winners of the show, will soon grace the front of a new set of American stamps. The limited-edition collectible stamps will be sold for charity. During Thursday night's live "American Idol" elimination show, host Ryan Seacrest was standing behind the judges making announcements and having the judges read sentences from the tele-prompter. Apparently judge Simon Cowell was supposed to announce about the stamps, but was cut off after a brief sentence and they never returned to the topic. First season winner Kelly Clarkson will be on the first stamp, which is currently available. The last stamp will feature the winner of this season. Only 104,000 will be available and will be issued weekly for the next seven weeks. The proceeds from the stamps will go toward the Idol Gives Back Foundation, which supports charities around the world.
