Windsor Genova - AHN News Writer Seattle, WA (AHN) - A technology journalist has started an online petition to save the popular Windows XP operating system from being phased out by June 30. Galen Gruman started the Save XP petition in January and the website has gathered 111,543 online signatures as of April 9, mostly from fans who believe the six-year-old OS is better than Microsoft's newly-launched Windows Vista. Those who signed also made comments that the XP is superior to Vista. Save XP calls on Microsoft Corp. to continue selling Windows XP until 2010. Microsoft plans to keep online support for the operating system until April next year and limited service until 2014.
