Washington, D.C. (AHN) - Sen. Barack Obama (D-IL) is ahead of Sen. Hillary Clinton (D-NY) in Gallup's daily tracking for the ninth straight day.

The pollster reported on Tuesday that Obama has 51% support nationwide while Clinton trails with 40%. One percent of voters surveyed said they support other candidates and 8% had no opinion.

The 11-point lead is the largest for Obama this year, Gallup said, and follows months of daily polling that saw the two Democratic hopefuls either statistically tied or leading narrowly.

Gallup's daily tracking is a survey of 1,000 adults nationwide. The results of Tuesday's poll are based on interviews conducted from April 12-14 among 1,312 Democratic and Democratic-leaning voters. The survey's maximum margin of error is 3%.
