Todd Lazarski - Celebrity News Service News Writer New York, NY (CNS) - While Gregg Allman appears safely headed down the recovery path, the singer's Hepatitis C has caused yet another cancellation for the Allman Brothers Band - just a week after pushing back their annual residency at New York's Beacon Theater, the band has been forced to pull out from this June's Bonnaroo Festival. While undoubtedly offering a major bummer the Southern Rock world over, Bonnaroo organizers seized the cancellation to tease a looming "big announcement," due out this Thursday according to Rolling Stone. Allman has been undergoing treatment for Hepatitis C, which in recent years has become widely curable, for the past six months. While the virus has reportedly been eradicated from his system, the recovery time is simply taking a bit longer than expected. According to a post on his website, Allman stated "I'm getting better but I'm still tired, I need to be at 110% to do the shows the way we do them." With his solo shows also indefinitely postponed, the Brothers are still hoping to make up their longstanding New York City shows at a later date.
