London, U.K. (CNS) - In the latest claims of drug use in prison, troubled rocker Pete Doherty's manager Adrian Hunter is vehemently denying the claims that Doherty is using any drugs in jail.

Hunter insists that the Babyshambles rocker is "healthy, lucid and positive" and has dismissed the reports, telling the media to let him serve his time in peace.

Hunter stated, "In our contact with Peter since his incarceration he has been healthy, lucid and positive. Peter is trying to carry out his sentence with dignity and should be allowed to do so without intrusion."

Doherty was sentenced to 14 weeks in prison last Tuesday for "breach of time-keeping, non-compliance of his probation order and using different drugs."

Doherty is serving his time at London's Wormwood Scrubs prison.

The British newspaper The Sun published a story and showed photos of the rocker in the prison, claiming that the star has continued to use hard drugs while serving his sentence.
