Lake Forest, IL (AHN) - The Chicago Bears on Wednesday signed free agent wide receiver Rashied Davis to a three-year contract. The details of the contract are not available.

The 28-year-old receiver from the Arena Football League in 2005, who did not fare well in the free agency market, will stay with Bears for another three years following Wednesday's signing. The Bears and Davis originally agreed to a one-year tender offer by the club last week.

Davis, who has appeared in 44 career NFL matches, registered 39 receptions for 468 yards and two touchdowns during the last two seasons for the Bears. During his rookie year in Chicago back in 2005, Davis was designated as a reserve cornerback and return man for the team.

Davis currently ranks fifth in the team after finishing the 2007 season with 11 special teams tackle. He has a career 1,172 yards on 55 kickoff returns and 31 yards on five punts return.
