April 29, 2008 4:08 a.m. EST Bill Lumpkin - AHN Editor Sao Paulo, Brazil (AHN) -- Soccer star Rolando was questioned by Brazilian police on Monday after he had a dispute with transvestite hookers at a Rio de Janeiro motel. Rolando admitted to the police that he knew he was dealing with prostitutes, but he thought they were women until they got to the motel. Prostitution is not illegal in Brazil. Rolando even told the police he still offered to pay the transvestites, but he said one tried to extort him out of $30,000 to keep the story out of the media. "He admitted to everything," police inspector Carlos Augusto Nogueira said. "He wanted to have fun. But he commited not crime at all. It was immoral at best. One of the transvestities also accused the AC Milan striker of asking him to buy drugs. Rolando denied the drug allegations as well. The police, though, said they believe Rolando's version of the story because the transvestites left the police station before authorities ended their questioning. Rolando and the transvestites voluntarily went to the police station. Rolando is recovering from surgery on his left knee and said he could return as soon as six months. He won two World Cups with Brazil, including the 2002 title in which he scored eight goals.
