Miami, FL (AHN) -- Dan Uggla had a home run, a double and drove in three runs as the Florida Marlins roughed up Greg Maddux and the San Diego Padres 10-3 on Sunday, keeping Maddux from picking up career win No. 350.
Maddux (2-3) failed in fourth straight bid for win No. 350, allowing 11 hits and five runs in 5 2/3 innings.
Said Florida's Luis Gonzalez, "He wasn't as good as he normally is. He left some balls up there. He tried to scratch it out and stay in there as long as he could, but he wasn't his typical self."
Gonzalez, who was 1-for-2 on the day, owns a .321 career average with 36 hits and 10 home runs against Maddux.
Trying to become only the ninth pitcher to win 350 games, Maddux is 0-3 in four starts since April 13.
Said Maddux, "Enjoy your off day Monday and get ready to play Tuesday. There is no big picture in baseball."
Mike Jacobs had three of Florida's 16 hits and drove in a run while Matt Treanor added two hits and two RBIs. Uggla, who hit his seventh home run, also scored three runs.
Andrew Miller (2-2) allowed two runs on four hits in a season-high six innings. He also had a run-scoring groundout for his first major league RBI.
Adrian Gonzalez had a home run for the Padres, who slipped to 12-20 -- tied for the worst record in baseball.
