Seoul, S. Korea (AHN) - More than a third of South Korean young people place cell phones at the top of their gift list, found a survey by Internet portal Yahoo released Sunday.

In a nation where 80 percent of citizens own mobile phones, 37 percent of young South Koreans surveyed named cell phones above Nintendo game consoles and MP3 players as the gift they most want for Children's Day, an event marked by parents giving gifts to children.

Yahoo South Korea surveyed 16,661 young people.
