May 6, 2008 3:50 p.m. EST Henry Frederick - AHN Chicago, IL (AHN) -- Running back Rashard Mendenhall, the first round draft pick of the Pittsburgh Steelers was robbed at gunpoint near a lakefront in the Windy City, his agent said. The former Illinois standout was with a companion along the South Side walkway 2 a.m. Monday when he was robbed of his wallet, phone and cash by two men who wore black hoods and ski masks, according to a report published Tuesday in the Chicago Sun-Times. "It was obviously a scary moment," his agent Mike McCartney told the newspaper. "But he is fine. He is doing great. He said he doesn't have anything that is worth his life." Mendenhall, from Skokie, Ill., was the 23rd player taken in the first round of the 2008 NFL Draft last month by the Steelers.
