May 6, 2008 9:58 p.m. EST Anne Lu - Celebrity News Service News Writer Los Angeles, CA (CNS) - Funny man Will Ferrell is set to reprise his role as a 1970s newsman in a sequel to the hit 2004 comedy film "Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy." In an interview with Collider.com over the weekend, director Adam McKay had expressed their intention to create a sequel to the film. He said, "Will and I are like: 'Let's do Anchorman 2,' so you're talking, like, in two years, maybe we'll do it. But we're going to do it, for sure. We're dying to do it." However, he cannot guarantee that they can bring the whole original cast back. He continued, "That's always a kind of a tricky thing. But, I think, with the cast we're all friends, so yeah, we want to do it." Ferrell and McKay had co-written the box office hit film. It also starred Christina Applegate, Paul Rudd, David Koechner, Fred Willard, and Steve Carrell.
