Jerusalem, Israel (CNS) - Israeli model Bar Rafaeli is being urged to complete national service in her home country.

The 23-year-old girlfriend of actor Leonardo Di Caprio is under fire from political group Israeli Forum for the Promotion of Equal Share in the Burden for not enlisting in the army.

The organization is threatening to boycott Fox, the fashion chain to which Rafaeli is signed onto a $300,000 deal, if they do not include in her contract that she must join the army or volunteer in the national service or else, drop her from the contract.

Reuven Agassi, a member of the forum, tells ynetnews.com, "We are not trying to make her life miserable. But celebrities are the country's store-front window and when they express negativity towards enlisting in the army, it has its effect."

"I lecture at schools and students say, 'Look at that singer or model who didn't enlist and still succeeded.' Our appeal to Fox says that we can't provide economic benefits to people who have not served our country."

Fox then announced Tuesday that it would be collaborating with the anti-dodging group.
