Madonna Announces U.K. And U.S. Tour

London, England (CNS) - "Queen of Pop" Madonna has announced Wednesday her world tour in the U.K., which will kick off in Cardiff, Wales on August 23.

Madonna, 49, will then continue her "Sticky and Sweet" tour through Europe, with stops in France, Germany, the Netherlands and Italy. She is also scheduled to perform on September 11 at London's Wembley Stadium.

She will also tour in North America, starting in East Rutherford, New Jersey on October 3. It will be followed by 17 more performances in the U.S. and Canada. Her final date for U.S. is scheduled on November 26 in Miami at the Dolphin Stadium.

The appropriately titled tour follows the release of her latest album "Hard Candy," which had just topped the charts in its opening week.

Tickets for the U.S. venues will be available on May 12.
