Jessica Simpson Says She Will Be Ashlee's Maid Of Honor

Los Angeles, CA (CNS) - Pop star Jessica Simpson performed at Camp Pendleton for the troops Thursday night, but took some time to talk about her younger sister's wedding plans. Jessica's sister, Ashlee Simpson, is engaged to Pete Wentz of the Fall Our Boys.

Jessica performed for the troops wearing a skin-tight red top, jeans and black stiletto heels and sang songs such as "These Boots Are Made For Walkin.'" Also performing at the three-hour concert were celebrities such as Snoop Dogg, Janet Jackson, Ne-Yo and Pamela Anderson.

Jessica said she will be glad to trade in her performance clothes for a different style of clothes: a maid of honor dress for Ashlee's wedding.

Jessica said she would be the maid of honor for her little sister, although a wedding date has not been set yet.

Ashlee is currently in London promoting her new album, Bittersweet World. She has been proudly showing off her engagement ring and told a British talk show that Wentz did a great job picking out the ring. She also said as husband-to-be material, Wentz is a good one.
