May 9, 2008 8:25 a.m. EST Jan Westmark - Celebrity News Service Los Angeles, CA (CNS) - Matt Lauer, host of the "Today" show, had some tense moments while interviewing actor Tom Cruise in 2005. The two argued about Scientology's stance against psychiatric medication. Lauer said he has no hard feelings toward Cruise regarding the interview and thought it actually made for good television. Cruise, on the other hand, says he wishes he would have handled the interview differently. Cruise made the admission to talk show host Oprah Winfrey during her two-day long Cruise extravaganza show. Lauer was traveling at the time and missed the show. Lauer did say someone told him about Oprah's show. According to People.com, Lauer said, "I don't think he needs to apologize. I don't feel there are any hard feelings. It was an interview. It was a good moment on television." Lauer even said he wouldn't mind meeting up with Cruise again, "The doors are open," he added. "I hope he comes back and sees me real soon."
